Pardon our dust

Image of robots engaged in home construction.

The Home & Robot website is under construction. We could have put up a holding page (a blank placeholder screen that says "coming soon" and nothing else). We didn't. We opened the door and let you watch.

Here's what that looks like right now. Our article archive — every piece we've published — is live and browsable today. Our subscriber dashboard (the hub where you manage your account, saved articles, and email preferences) is still being wired together. The search index (the engine that lets you find content by keyword) hasn't started yet. Some navigation paths dead-end. A few layout changes will happen mid-visit. That's not a warning. That's just the site telling you we're in the middle of something.

We cover robots in the home — the Roomba spinning under your couch, the dishwasher that texts you when the cycle finishes, the garage system that knows your car. That's the entire point of this magazine. The reason we're rebuilding the platform is so we can cover that world better: faster pages, smarter search, a subscriber dashboard that actually works. The construction you're walking through is the upgrade the coverage gets to run on.

All initial construction wraps by July 1, 2026.

Come back. The site gets better every week, and we'd rather you watch it happen than miss it.
